Hello, I'm Mandy Rowden.

I'm a singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and generally really nice gal. I am the proud creator of Girl Guitar as well as a professional musician and educator. I am also a teacher and music leader at Lucky Star Art Camp, and I've been a contributing songwriter for Songs For The Soul and Guitar Girl Magazine, as well as an instructor at Own Your Own Universe and an online educator for Elixir Strings and Gibson Guitars. I have a Master's Degree in Musicology from Texas State University, where I published an award-winning thesis on Texas women singer-songwriters and where I am currently a professor of Business in Music courses. I perform currently as a singer-songwriter and play guitar in Austin's all-female country hits band, The Rhinestone Renegades. In 2025, I founded the Texas Women Songwriters Festival in historic downtown Lockhart, TX.
